Atelier “You, your tribe, your influence”
What surprised you the most/ what did you like the most during your workshops today ?
Everything was a surprise for me. I usually teach the same content in 18 hours. I have been invited here by one of my students, Pauline. She did a beautiful work when I asked my students to curate something, and she chose « engagement ». She did a very good job and invited me to come, which was very flattering. Everything was a surprise : the openness of the lauréats… I usually have a hard time getting people to talk. And here I didn’t have that at all. It took on its own life. It was actually a nice surprise. That’s what I’m looking for. I want people to engage, to want to wake up in the morning.

Describe the Institut de l’Engagement in one word :
Remarkable. It’s not a word I use lightly. It’s above the average.
What is engagement for you ?
Engagement is the courage to act on your beliefs, on your values. It does require courage in the culture we live in. Part of our culture encourages us to be different – like on social media – but often it’s in a superficial way. To really stand out requires courage. You’re going to encounter people who disagree with you, who are disrupting.
